Congratulations to Shirley Kurth Schneider, new guest blogger for www.kidsthesedays.org! Schneider’s piece “Adoption: Alaska Style” will be serialized in six parts on the website, which is affiliated with the Alaskan radio program Kids These Days. The essay is excerpted from Schneider’s memoir, Between Two Poles, the story of the rise and fall of her marriage in Fairbanks, Alaska. I edited the excerpts and the memoir, for which Schneider is currently seeking literary representation.
