Shirley Kurth Schneider Published on Kids These Days

Congratulations to Shirley Kurth Schneider, new guest blogger for www.kidsthesedays.org! Schneider’s piece “Adoption: Alaska Style” will be serialized in six parts on the website, which is affiliated with the Alaskan radio program Kids These Days. The essay is excerpted from Schneider’s memoir, Between Two Poles, the story of the rise and fall of her marriage in Fairbanks, Alaska. I edited the excerpts and the memoir, for which Schneider is currently seeking literary representation.

The six installments of “Adoption: Alaska Style” will appear weekly. Read the first section here: http://www.kidsthesedays.org/content/part-1-placing-order

Kudos

Erin Wilcox is an intelligent and talented developmental editor. She identified the nuggets of gold buried in my novel’s first draft—key scenes that were the heart of the story—and gave me a focus for revision.”
